Title: Commercial Assistant


Location: Exeter


Kier are looking for a Commercial Administrator who is required to assist with the delivery of the South West Water and Bournemouth Water Network Service Alliance (NSA) Term Service Contracts and Streetwork Furniture Term Service Contract. Based in our Exeter office with particular responsibility for supporting the commercial team to ensure that value is maximised and the correct processes are adhered to.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Subcontract payments for all contracts managed by line manager
  • Assist with job costing and cost feedback as required
  • Preparation of contract cost reports for accounts and audit.
  • Raise activity codes in Causeway (finance system)
  • Assist with invoicing and upload of correct documentation to Causeway systems
  • Chase outstanding debt on all contracts managed by line manager
  • Assist contract QS with subcontract procurement as necessary
  • Recording / monitoring of labour / plant / subcontract costs for all contracts managed by line manager
  • Updating registers for all contracts managed by line manager
  • Assist with updating month end reports to enable accurate reporting
  • Providing general admin support as required

    • Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must demonstrate a good standard of IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Excel
  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Proven experience of working within a team
  • Proven experience of being methodical and organised
  • Understanding of customer service
