My client are a specialist sub-contract engineering firm providing engineering resource to the power, aggregates and materials handling sectors. Due to continued growth and increased successful tenders my client require 10+ mechanical fitters for a project in East London - This short-term shutdown is due to commence on 3rd March if you are an experienced contract mechanical fitter please read on

The Role of Mechanical Fitter

12 hour days
Working on compression fit pipework
Fitting and PPM work
Tack Welding
Valve works
Assembly of hoses
Removal of doors from engine
Steel work - hanging hand rails
Use of basic hand tools
Using air tools
The Right Mechanical Fitter
-
Mechanical apprenticeship/ time served
C&G engineering qualifications
Experience of power industry shutdowns
Can commit to entire shutdown period
Heavy Engineering experience
Familiar with large motors
Can work on pumps, piping and associated equipment
Crane Operator experience
