We have an opportunity for a Plasterer / Wet Trades Operative to join a successful housing repairs and maintenance team on a local housing association contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking all plastering tasks to achieve first time fix and deliver a high standard of workmanship in a timely and productive manner always affording excellent customer service to the client.
  • Undertaking patch and larger plastering works, decorating, tiling and associated or other minor maintenance tasks.
  • Using a PDA to receive instructions, and to feedback electronically details of works undertaken, or works to be undertaken.
  • Liaising with Supervisors/schedulers in a timely manner when works are unable to be completed on a first visit, providing detailed information to allow works to be programmed in.
  • Affording excellent customer service to residents, client and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • City & Guilds/ NVQ in Plastering OR Plasterer CSCS Card
  • Asbestos Awareness, UKATA or ITAP
  • Basic Criminal Record Check

We are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Unvented Plumber to join the responsive repairs team in Westminster.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking a variety of responsive or planned plumbing tasks within occupied and void properties
  • Repairing leaks, repairing or replacing toilet seats, shower heads or hoses, unblocking waste traps, toilets, gutters, rainwater pipes, etc.
  • Repairing and maintaining plumbing systems, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes.
  • General painting and making good paintwork after repair
  • Repairing patching of plaster and replacing small areas of tiles
  • Updating PDA devices with work schedules and other key information as required

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing & Heating
  • Unvented Hot Water Cylinder G3 (desirable)
  • Basic Criminal Record Check

Our client is a specialist contractor working on a range of projects from the smallest solutions for clients up to some of the biggest infrastructure schemes occurring in the UK today. They are looking to add to their commercial team and you would be overseeing projects across the London area.

They are looking for the right person and not a specific level of hire. They have an existing commercial structure and could comfortably take anyone from a 'QS with a few years experience level right up to a Senior QS who's "been there, done it and got the T-shirt". · Reviewing daywork sheets & able to pick up on and price variations from first principles.

· Working with and reviewing look ahead and monthly programmes.

· Procurement for projects.



Candidate

The ideal candidate will;

· Be able to display previous experience in a similar role working within civil engineering.

· Must be willing to travel to sites and into offices across the London region.

· Ideally have civils or large / heavy groundwork's knowledge.

· Good contract knowledge of Predominantly NEC & JCT forms of contract.
