Senior Architect Job in Brighton, East Sussex joining an award-winning architectural practice renowned for its creative, people-centred approach and sector expertise in education, healthcare, commercial, and later-living design. This employee-owned practice has around 50 professionals across its two offices. With a focus on thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainable design, they've built a reputation for delivering innovative environments that enhance lives. As the practice continues to expand, they are now seeking a Senior Architect to work on its retirement living and leisure projects across the South, from concept through to completion.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the design and management of education projects, collaborating with the wider design and technical team
- Report directly to the Project Director ensuring design integrity and project quality across all stages
- Manage and mentor a team of architects and designers, encouraging professional development
- Build and maintain client relationships, coordinating with contractors and consultants for successful delivery
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the education sector
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
- ARB registered Architect with 5+ years' UK experience post Part III qualification
- Proven experience leading projects from concept to completion
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, and sector standards
- Ability to lead teams of architects, technologists, and assistants effectively
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with clients and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
