An established consultancy is continuing to expand its Manchester presence and is looking for a Principal or Associate Engineer who wants to step into a role with real influence. This is a great chance to join a new and ambitious team where you'll be able to make your mark from day one.


You'll work across a wide mix of projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, support and mentor others, and play a key part in shaping the future of the Manchester office. If you enjoy variety, autonomy and the opportunity to help build something, this role will suit you well.


The Role

  • Taking technical responsibility for drawings, calculations, reports and design documents-both your own and those produced by others
  • Confident use of Civil 3D, CAD and other design/analysis tools, and supporting colleagues as they develop these skills
  • Solving technical challenges and delivering practical, well-considered engineering solutions
  • Applying current design standards and a clear understanding of CDM (2015) duties
  • Helping refine internal processes to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery
  • Identifying and managing risks on your projects
  • Supporting and mentoring team members in their technical development
  • Carrying out site visits to understand constraints and monitor construction progress
  • Leading project delivery and coordinating with clients, stakeholders and third parties
  • Communicating technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Managing project programmes, resources and financial performance
  • Preparing fee proposals and cost estimates
  • Building and maintaining strong, positive client relationships
  • Taking responsibility for ongoing professional development
  • Helping promote the business and contributing to the growth of the Manchester team
