Are you a Process Engineer looking to make the step up to Chief Engineer?
Already a Chief Engineer but looking for a company that loves an innovative work environment?
True to their spirit of innovation, this employer believes that you have to think outside of the box if you are going to deliver successful change. If you want to be part of a fun working atmosphere, free to take risks and pursue new ways of doing your job, this could be the place for you.
Today's construction industry is moving increasingly towards a manufactured solution and candidates who hold skill sets in both areas are an ever more compelling choice for employers.
We are looking for a Chief Engineer to join a company who have received recent investment. We have found that many of our candidates have selected this company over more established employers when presented with several offers and have later found themselves progressing within.
You will lead a team of Process Engineers and Maintenance Technicians and be providing support and guidance to other team members across departments including purchasing and HR. You will also support the Opertaions Manager to continually improve processes and methods of production.
Please contact Craig or Sue on 0117 959 2008 if you are able to meet all or most of the following:
HND/HNC in mechanical/electrical/aerospace engineering
Proven understanding of lean methodologies (eg 5S, Six Sigma etc) and Continuous Improvement
People management and good team leadership skills
Solid IT skills and practical experience of CAD
Practical experience of PFMEA and Control Plans
Proven track record in process design and you should be able to design robust production processes, able to meet volume targets and quality/cost/delivery measures
Previously involved in NPI and NPD processes
You should also be able to demonstrate your strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and a good commercial awareness
Good interpersonal skills and demonstrating strong team leadership
Able to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm
You will also need to have an awareness of the commercial aspects of your role, and work to sometimes demanding deadlines and targets, whilst adapting to change and uncertainty.
If you can provide all or most of the above together with experience in modular buildings, we would be particularly interested in speaking to you.
