Brand new opportunity to completely establish, build and lead a new department engaged in supporting client fit-outs and internal investment plans on data centre projects across the EMEA region

Likely to suit a technical individual previously having worked as a ; Design Manager, or Project Manager, or Design Engineer, or Pre sales Engineer, or Technical Engineer, or Associate Engineer, or Technical Director, or Head of Projects, or client solutions lead, with a focus on ICT or M&E

Reporting directly to a Director, this opportunity sits within a significant player within the global data centre space, they operate over 160 facilities globally, range from 10MW developments to 100MW + hyper-scale facilities, and are undertaking a major build program across EMEA with expansions planned in several tier 1 & tier 2 locations across the region.



Roles and responsibilities

    Taking control and leading the team to offer design and cost support on all in life projects in the data centre environment

    Technical solution design definition ensuring the proposed solution will meet the customer or operational requirements

    Supporting sales & commercial management on technical solutions & quoting during the pre-contract phase

    Define and maintain relationships with technical and operational teams in other departments to ensure the technical solution proposed is line with building design and operational best practices

    Ensure supply chain effectiveness with key suppliers involved in client fit out and operational projects

Requirements

    Degree or similar in engineering or IT Several years of experiences working in the in the critical infrastructure, preferably in the Data Center or Information and communications technology (ICT) industry with an operator in a project delivery, project manager or design role Experience of managing and building a team Knowledge of critical infrastructure, ideally in the Data Center M&E infrastructure
