Role overview
Breedon are seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Systems Analyst to join our team at Hope Cement Works, Derbyshire. The maintenance systems analyst plays a key role within the team, the function of which is to master plant reliability so that we meet or beat our plant reliability target year on year.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will help maintain standards and improve the key reliability principles of Inspection, Planning & Engineering Improvement so that we safely and efficiently deliver a quality assured proactive maintenance programme at Hope Cement Works.
We are looking for an SAP/IT systems expert to specialise with Operations & Plant Maintenance, a functional Lead who fosters a culture of excellence by defining and refining methods, standards, governance and assurance, and is a technical expert and champion of data, technology and analytics.
Areas of responsibility within the team:
- Lead in maintaining & developing SAP Maintenance & Reliability core operating system
- Efficient SAP scheduling/generation and communication of maintenance activities
- Develop, measure and track maintenance KPIs
- Develop monthly reliability report in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Develop & maintain systems for plant downtime analysis including generation of pareto charts & reports
- Support maintenance manager in developing, recording and tracking SWOT charts & risk registers
- Facilitate RCAs and manage action tracker
- Collate data for monthly team review meeting
- IT technical lead, liaising with our central IT team to ensure systems reliability, and liaise with technical consultants
- Develop, integrate & manage operational systems such as OSIsoft products e.g. PLVision & Opralog
- Collaborate with procurement, finance & stores to continue to develop and improve system reporting e.g. cost reporting & management
- Lead explorations in the development of new technology to improve maintenance systems
- Develop user-friendly apps and remote monitoring to improve sharing of team information & collaboration
- Explore and develop SharePoint to standardise documentation capture & sharing
- Manage and develop technical drawing database to manage plant 3D models
- Support plant major repair data capture and development
- Support and development of business systems
- Ensure plant safety, environment & quality compliance standards are met
We are looking for individuals who are great communicators and comfortable conversing and influencing senior leadership stakeholders.
Qualifications/experience required:
- Degree qualified in relevant subject e.g., engineering/IT/Business
- Relevant advanced IT training and SAP competent
- Demonstrable experience within the field OR proven transferable experience with ability to adapt
Skills/knowledge required:
- Relevant data analysis work experience OR demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of SAP technologies
- Knowledge of SAP Application Services through an excellent understanding of business process and industry standard utilisation of SAP functionality
- Excellent practical knowledge of MS Excel including advanced formulas and reporting techniques e.g. merging data sets, PivotTables, Boolean logic
- Good data management, problem solving and analytical skills, including statistics
- Able to work accurately with data with thorough attention to detail
- Use of MS Word, SharePoint & PowerPoint to prepare reports and presentations that succinctly communicate data to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
- Organised and methodical approach to managing demands, the ability to prioritise, escalating very complex or highly sensitive demands
- Able to work independently and as part of a team to resolve problems, challenge others' ideas based on knowledge and help find proportionate and effective solutions
Desirable skills and knowledge:
- Understanding of business finance eg revenue, capital and budget monitoring
- Appreciation of continuous improvement techniques, especially systems thinking and Statistical Process Control
- Knowledge of database systems and specifying simple queries eg MS Excel Query from SQL Server
- Experience supporting operational teams to measure performance and identify improvement areas
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
