Kier Design & Business Services are recruiting for an ICT Consultant to provide ICT design and oversee ICT installation services to the regional Kier Construction businesses, predominantly in the education sector. Kier's success in securing places on the DfE High Value and Low Value frameworks, as well as continued success winning schools projects with local authorities and academy trusts, means we are now seeking to recruit additional resources into our ICT Team.
Key Responsibilities
The ICT Consultant will provide expertise in the design and implementation of ICT solutions into newly built and refurbished schools. You will be responsible for the delivery of projects in a timely manner, ensure the ICT designs are compliant, interrupt client requirements and provide an industry leading standard, create contractor proposals submission documentation, and project manage from the initial design to on-side installation implementation.
What do we need from you?
Kier are seeking an individual who:
- Has project management experience.
- Has experience working on commercial projects in the construction industry. Education projects would be preferred, especially DfE Output Specification (preferred but not essential as training will be provided).
- Has experience of the following technical and design/specification skills:
- Network ICT infrastructure design and network switching
- Telecommunications
- Fibre and structured cabling
- Server and hub room design
- Small power and data
- Audio visual
- Wi-Fi
- CCTV
- End user equipment
