We are recruiting for an instructor/assessor specialising in electrical (marine) who will be based in our electrical workshop, and you will be working with 1st year apprentices who are undertaking their EAL Level 2 Diploma in Maritime Defence (Foundation Competence) qualification.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering between £21,088 and £27,056 per annum (plus £5,000 market forces uplift).

Practical delivery will include wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits, forming and assembling electrical cable enclosure and support systems, assembling/wiring/testing electrical panels and components mounted in enclosures, and maintaining electrical equipment and systems.

You will ideally be a qualified assessor (or prepared to work towards) with a suitable trade background in the marine electrical shipbuilding/ship repair industry. A knowledge of the assessment process and e-portfolio systems would also be advantageous.

In addition to your salary, you can expect an annual leave entitlement of 35 days (pro rata for part-time), plus Bank Holidays and additional College closure days over the festive period.
