Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting a Warwickshire based, product led distribution business in in the recruitment of an Interim Finance Analyst position. This will be for an initial period of 3 - 6 months and will be paying a daily rate of c.£300 - £400. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is immediately available or at most on a one-week notice.

You will report into the Senior Finance Business Partner and work closely with other departments by providing financial reporting, analysis and decision support information, driving performance and ensure that they make informed and considered financial decisions. You will challenge the assumptions and forecasts used within the business, especially in the areas of investment proposals and budgeting. You will support the Business Partners in partnering the management teams of different functions within the business to provide robust challenge on financial performance and targets to aid decision making.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Performance Management - To support business partnering of the fulfilment team to assess the options and drivers of current and future performance, supporting the business to optimise decision making through the provision of high-quality insight and analysis. This may include presenting key topics to senior management.
  • Year Planning & Forecasting - To support the planning processes including developing, analysing and challenging major assumptions. Additionally, support your area of the business to determine the financial options/implications of decisions/ initiatives and ensure deadlines are met for budget submissions to the FP&A team and parent company. Delivery of quarterly forecasts for your area of the business. Accuracy of forecasting will be reviewed regularly and reported to senior management.
  • Strategic Projects - support projects and reviews as required by business managers, presenting findings and making recommendations in support of their strategic objectives. This may include post investment reviews, financial projections, scenario planning, financial modelling, activity-based reviews & business analysis.
  • Business Insights - To work with the System Administrators & Business Accountants to provide data through defining data available for the business & finance through self-service & standard reporting.
  • Provide adhoc analysis & decision support

Essential Requirements:

  • Available for an immediate start or on a one week notice
  • Advanced excel skills Pivot tables, Ifs, V-Lookups
  • Strong analytical skills and able to investigate and analyse data
  • An experienced business or financial professional
  • ACCA, ACMA or ACA Qualified although QBE also considered
