Fire Engineer Job in London / Hybrid Working
Fire Engineer job in London for an established and reputable fire consultancy, taking the engineering lead on complex projects from inception to completion, advising on fire safety and fire strategies across a variety of sectors. The role offers a salary of up to £75,000 + Bonus + 45p mileage + hybrid working + healthcare + continuous CPD / professional development.
They offer strategic advice, innovative design, construction oversight and risk management services to wide-ranging clients in the UK worldwide. Established nearly 15 years ago, they are an award-winning consultancy working closely with councils, architects, and design teams to embed safety at the heart of architectural ambition. They work with public and private sector clients across residential, commercial, leisure, education, healthcare, transport and nuclear projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Take lead on large complex projects and smaller projects at all stages of the project cycle
- Practice/apply fire assurance services including site visits throughout the project
- Generate new business and maintain existing relationships through meetings and networking
- Grow your own portfolio to provide diverse projects and support the region
- Develop technical abilities in your region and contribute to companywide technical excellence, including the career development and technical abilities of your own team
- Effective coaching and mentoring or more junior team members
- Provide Consultancy services including measured and considered technical advice, focusing on successful outcomes for clients, with both an ethical and translatable approach.
Required Skills & Experience
- Engineering Council accredited BEng Hons or MEng or MSc
- Ideally Associate Member of IFE
- Working on plan to become Chartered status with a body such as Engineering Council (EC), RICS or CABE
- Solid technical understanding of the role of a fire engineer throughout all stages of construction
- Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently
- UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
