Breedon are now seeking an Apprentice HGV Mechanical Engineer to join our experienced team based at our HGV Workshop at West Deeping Quarry in South Lincolnshire. You'll be involved in the service and repair of our HGV fleet which is built up of 4, 6 and 8 wheel concrete mixer trucks, asphalt and aggregate tippers and some artic trucks too!

About you
We'd love to hear about why you chose us and what interests you about the apprenticeship programme you would like to join. We're a very friendly organisation so we'd hope that you'd be comfortable talking to lots of people and can show us that you're willing to learn! Sometimes we can come across unforeseen challenges so problem solving skills and good attention to detail are also very handy. Finally you must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or level 5 or above on the new grading scheme) including Maths, English and Science.
What can I expect?
In return, we guarantee the opportunity to build skills, gain knowledge and experience through 'in-role' training with individual mentoring by our Maintenance Manager and a tailored development programme. You will receive time out to attend Peterborough college whereby you will undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician.
