We have an exciting position available for a Building Surveyor with a passion for delivering high-quality services.

What does a Building Surveyor role entail?

  • As a Building Surveyor in the social housing sector, you will play a crucial role in inspecting, assessing, and reporting on the condition of the clients housing stock.
  • Your expertise will directly contribute to the maintenance, improvement, and overall safety of their properties, ensuring that their residents have a high-quality living experience.
  • Conducting thorough property inspections to identify any maintenance, repair, or improvement requirements.
  • Overseeing planned maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assessing and approving contractors' work to ensure high standards and value for money.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of refurbishment and renovation projects.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including residents, contractors, and internal teams.

Requirements for the Building Surveyor role:

  • Building surveying skills and knowledge of construction methods
  • MUST HAVE Major cladding replacement works on high- and low-rise properties.
  • Experience in managing and running multiple complex building projects at the same time.
  • Experience in building control and planning applications
  • Experience in applying CDM 2015 principles to tenders and contracts.
  • Understanding of contract law and excellent knowledge of standard form contracts and Contract Administration
  • Good knowledge of the current Fire Safety requirements for high-and low-rise properties.
