Responsibilities
As a Buyer you'll be working within the major projects Devonport team, supporting them with the refurbishment of the 10 dock at Devonport.
Your day to day will include:
- Lead & implement procurement of plant, equipment, and materials for the project.
- Develop the project specific supply chain plan for procurement of plant, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure procurement fully complies with detailed technical requirements.
- Managing budget costs will be a key requirement of this role - contribute to, and implement these processes by negotiating with all parties to ensure value for money.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Performance Excellence.?
This role of Buyer is great for you if:
- You have evidential experience and positive track record of 'best in class' supply chain procurement in a similar role within a complex project and able to demonstrate experience of significant cost and time savings.
- You have a good understanding of Target Cost contracts.
- You have a proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach.
- You are able to work as part of a team to deliver objective of the project and company.
- You have excellent communication skills.
- You have demonstrable excellence in supporting the delivery of design, construction & commissioning of large water sector related projects
