Type: Full time. Permanent. 37.5 hours a week.
Location: South West London.

We're looking for a Civil Engineer in South-West London!
Your new employer is a well-established medium-sized multidisciplinary consultancy, specialising in the design of civil infrastructure solutions to the rail, power, and electrification sectors.
Their primary clients are Tier 1 contractors, so the projects you help bring to life will be both significant and complex.
Role:
You will be designing civil infrastructure solutions for the following areas in rail and power:
- Rail-related highway design, including station access roads, car parks, and any S278 agreements that are required.
- Surface/storm water drainage for trackside ancillary buildings and stations.
- Substation civil infrastructure, including site access and surface water drainage.
- Renewable schemes site access and drainage.
- HV cable route design and utilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver highway, drainage, and utility solutions on all projects and stages
- Manage junior engineers and technicians to produce complete, coordinated and high-quality calculations, drawings and specifications, on time and on a budget to meet agreed deadlines
- Undertake multi-disciplinary design and co-ordination activities
- Health and safety at all stages of the design process
- Produce physical and/or computer models of projects
- Ensure all necessary opening-up and site investigations are carried out on all projects to properly assess the ground conditions, excising buildings and boundary conditions
Essential Experiences:
- Relevant experience in a design consultancy, with experience in the design of highways and drainage
- Experience using industry standard software, which may include AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Site3D, PDS, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow.
Desirable Experiences:
- Previous experience on rail station/substation/power civil infrastructure projects.
- Near of Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (ICE or CIWEM)
- Experience of effective financial management and control of projects.
