Kier works as part of a framework for Western Power Distribution to ensure its customer have power in their homes, businesses, schools and hospitals. We are an essential member of the team mainly working on reactive and planned maintenance in Exeter, Bristol and down to Cornwall.

We employ a large number of teams across the region, whose role it is to either respond to emergencies to dig down in the street or on private property to give our clients access to repair their asset, or to lay new mains cables as part of their ongoing planned maintenance programme. Our responsibility begins with planning the works and finishes with us clearing site having put it back to the same or better condition than when we arrived, making sure that customers are happy and informed throughout every stage of the works.

As Commercial Administrator, you will be working within an existing team responsible for the logging of jobs/ task orders raised and the final invoicing of completed job packs to the Client as they come back in from site. Reporting, logging and monitoring of Streetworks information required, checking paperwork has been received in relation to any subcontractors completed jobs against applications for payment along with being involved in the weekly payroll submission for direct employees across the contracts.

You will also be maintaining effective work systems, ensuring that all correspondence and documentation is dealt with in a professional and timely manner to meet requirements. In addition, you will be responding to all other enquiries from Site or other members of the Commercial Team in the office, on the phone and via email in a professional manner.

What do we need from you?

No previous experience is necessary just an eagerness to learn and work with the team (on the job training given). We are after a highly organised, self-confident and motivated individual who has a strong ability to adapt to a fast-paced office environment, someone who is able to work as an individual and as part of a team while being able to use your own initiative as well as follow instruction.
