What does the role entail?
As a compliance technologist you will be responsible for supporting the quality assurance manager to make sure all compliance and company standards are being followed. Food safety standards is an ever-changing piece of legislation and being market leaders of the bakery industry means we have to be at the forefront of safety and compliance. Your daily duties will include reporting to the QA manager with audits of all products. You will also be dealing with the complaints from customers that are directly affected by the quality of the product. You will follow strict Health and Safety policy to maintain obedience of the ever-growing food safety regulations. You will be working both in a team and solely to make sure the ever-rising demands of the business is met. No two days will be the same within this role, it is an exciting opportunity and will be a permanent role for the right candidate.
What skills will you have?
To be considered for this compliance technologist role you will need to be an extremely organised individual, being able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Using your initiative is vital in making sure production is running at the highest possible capacity in a smooth and timely manner. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy is of the highest importance. Technical qualifications include: BRC Global Standard, HACCP, food safety/hygiene, internal auditing, external auditing, food industry legislation. Training may be provided if needed. Strong IT skills and knowledge of the Microsoft programs will be extremely beneficial in enabling you to carry out your daily duties. Flexibility, focus and attention to detail is important for this role. You will be a team player but also able to work alone to meet the needs of the business. It is essential that you should possess strong communication skills both verbally and written. You need to have a positive and proactive attitude.
