THE ROLE OF ENGINEERING STORES PERSON
-
Receive goods from suppliers
Carry out inspections on goods received - using verniers, calipers and micrometers
Logging parts on the MRP system
Identifying any stock shortages
Picking kits for engineers
Reporting non-conforming items
Packing for spares and sales orders
Maintaining stores
THE RIGHT ENGINEERING STORES PERSON
-
Extensive experience of working within a stores / goods inwards environment
Warehouse management system experienced
Ablility to read and interpret engineering drawings
Some experience of using inspection equipment, i.e. Vernier's, micrometres etc.
An understanding of manufacturing process such as JIT, Kanban and Lean
Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised.
Strong character.
Can do approach and attitude
Well organised and efficient
Team Player
