Kier and its alliance with South West Water are passionate about water. We help to provide clean and waste water services to c. 1.7 million people in Cornwall, Devon, and parts of Somerset and Dorset.

In this role, you will be responsible for the overall production and submission of Task Order estimates of clean water Developer Services schemes. You will be managing an ongoing programme of estimates ensuring schemes are planned to meet the contractual Levels of Services. As Estimator you will be liaising with a range of stakeholders from designers to ensure that optimum solution is required, South West Water estates department and to the fire brigade to ensure that all items are properly allowed for.

In addition, registers and records must be kept up to date to ensure progress is known, close contact with the commercial and operational approvers is kept in a timely and professional manager to ensure timescales are met and keeping a close eye on any issues or risks that may have arisen to raise as soon as possible for mitigation.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for someone who is proactive and takes ownership of ensuring that estimates are submitted in accordance with tight timescales, as well as being a good communicator and team player, liaising with your various stakeholders to ensure timescales are met. You will also hold knowledge of how watermains are constructed and a good level of commercial acumen to ensure correct preamble items are selected. NEC experience would also stand you in great stead to be successful.
