The ideal candidate will identify and apply appropriate methodologies and standards to produce effective and innovative solutions for geotechnical schemes and studies to current standards. Prepare reports to CD622, design calculations, drawings and tender/contract documents. Plan, specify and supervise suitable site investigations to provide geotechnical information for design of solutions. Assist with preparation required for the value management of geotechnical Schemes. Prepare land plans and schedules for access as required, maintain good relations with the client and other authorities, attending meetings as necessary. Work within the wider team to enable effective delivery of schemes and studies. Provide information to populate the risk register and update this information as the project develops.

What do we need from you to be successful in this role?
  • Experience of highways maintenance and design preferential
  • Knowledge, experience and application of DMRBW/MCHW and other Highways England standards
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety management and the requirements of Construction, Design and Management Regulations (CDM)
  • String knowledge of Highways England processes, procedure and performance requirements
  • AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Revit
  • Slope W / SLIDE
  • Holebase SI
  • Repute
  • Microsoft Word/Project/Excel
  • BEng in Civil Engineering
