We're looking for an experienced HGV Poling Operative to join our Poling team based in Basingstoke. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the installation and replacement of openreach' poling network in the Hampshire, Berkshire regions.

Location: Basingstoke - Working in the Hampshire and Berkshire regions.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £35 - £42k +OT (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

As an experienced HGV poling operative, working on the BT ONSA contract in Hampshire and Berkshire including the Isle?of?Wight. You will be building/maintaining the BT Openreach telegraph pole network, replacing, planting,?dressing,?and maintaining poles.? Your day to day will include:


  • Replacing "D" poles
  • Planting and dressing new poles
  • Maintaining the pole network
Who are we looking for?

The role of HGV Poling operative is great for you if:


  • You have poling experience working in the openreach overhead network
  • Hold a full CAT C HGV driving licence with less than 3 points
  • Driver CPC with a minimum of 6 months remaining on the qualification (Including a Digital Tachograph card)
  • "Can Do" attitude and able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Poling relevant accreditations to be valid for a minimum of 4 months (demonstratable via Smart Awards)
  • Customer focused mindset
