We're looking for a Highways Technology Engineer to join our Highways Development Team in Birmingham. Within this role, you can enjoy, car or car allowance, a competitive annual holiday entitlement with opportunities to buy/sell leave, a fantastic, matched pension scheme. and even more.

You will be experienced with stakeholder engagement, analysis of standards and specifications, simplification of complex technical concepts and the production of high-quality reports/proposals (including such elements as estimates, reports, business cases etc. If you are a good communicator, technically minded, conscientious, and highly literate, with a desire to grow and learn, this will be the perfect role for you.

Location: Birmingham - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Contract: Permanent Fulltime

Salary: £39k - £47k

Responsibilities

As Highways Technology Engineer you will produce high quality proposals and reports to support the development of Highways Technology projects

Your day to day duties will include:

  • Authoring and contributing to feasibility studies and/or value management proposals
  • Production of technical reports and drawings
  • Technical consultancy
Who are we looking for?

This role of Technology Engineer is great for you if have:

  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering/science related subject or substantial experience in a related/closely related field
  • Knowledge of National Highways Technology Assets, Infrastructure, loT, Telecommunications, Security technologies, IP technologies and their applications against the services Kier Services Highways supplies
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel / overnight stays when required
