Interim Project Finance Director - London/Hybrid Working

£1000/£1200 per day inside IR35 - 6 Months

I have an immediate requirement for a senior interim to join a large and complex business to support on a couple of challenging projects while they transition through a period of significant change. Due to a restructure, reporting silo's have shifted and so the initial brief will be to drive and embed the reporting requirements across circa 2BN turnover business with multiple delivery platforms. The requirement is to provide clarity on business performance, providing analysis and delivering insight to ensure operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered. The next stage will be to support the drive for cost reduction across multiple large and complex contracts. You will need to have demonstrable experience of cost out in a contract environment to deliver this.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and preparation of monthly business financial forecast, including the provision of high-quality analysis and insight around any deviation from plan and the action plan to deliver the forecast
  • Maintain strong financial governance over key projects and report into Division as appropriate.
  • Take ownership and accountability for the integrity and accuracy of P&L, balance sheet and working capital requirements
  • Drive continuous improvements and innovation that are aligned to Divisional and Business strategy to create operational efficiency's and deliver targets
  • Providing Finance expertise to support growth through market knowledge and insights
  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and followed, compliance to all standards (including IFRS 15, IFRS 16).
  • Provide value added analysis on issues impacting the business, manage forecasts for the Business Units.

Your Background:

  • Strong technical finance background, ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAEW qualified
  • Experience at a FTSE 100, FTSE250 and / or Big 4 Accountancy firm
  • Strong FP&A skill-set
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written with ability to prepare highly professional presentations to senior management
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesise complex data and information
  • Confident to work with, influence and challenge senior business executives credibly
  • Able to translate financial risks to non-finance professionals
  • Able to influence decision making process through clear presentation of financials
