Responsibilities of a Senior Land Surveyor:

  • Proficient undertaking land/topographic and engineering surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology, such as robotics and 3D scanners
  • Primary and secondary control, using a co-ordinates system, national, local and HS2.
  • Setting out.
  • Analysing data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD, Civils3D, Revit/Navisworks.
  • Preparing survey drawings
  • Earthworks quantification
  • Liaising with site Project Manager and Engineering team
  • Liaising with the LOR Digital Engineering team

Qualifications and training required

  • Degree in Geomatics/Engineering Surveying or Tech Qual (NVQ/TSA) or equivalent
  • CICES membership (Member) or equivalent

Key skills for geomatics surveyors and land surveyors

  • Significant knowledge and experience in using Leica equipment and software. Particularly Cyclone 3DR.
  • The ability to understand and interpret data
  • Full UK/EU driving License
