Lead Mechanical Engineer sought after to grow and develop a new team for an industry leading data centre consultancy. The successful candidate will have a wealth of German design standards knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future of this company's data centre project portfolio in Germany
Having grown substantially in the last 2 years, almost doubling their global headcount whilst taking on some of the industries most challenging mission critical projects, their expansion continues into one of the busiest markets in the industry today. Reporting to the Technical Director, there's a fantastic opportunity to progress and become an industry recognised specialist in this field.
Responsibilities

Responsible for running Major projects. Takes Team Management role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc. (majority of building types)

Leads the team working on on mission critical projects, in the selection and application of engineering concepts and solutions

Reviews status advised by project personnel and external parties and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for Management, Client or others.

Surveys tests and reports on existing Mechanical installations

Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams
Requirements:
-
BEng in appropriate engineering discipline or have sufficient equivalent experience
MCIBSE/MIEE + appropriate experience or equivalent
Chartered Eng status preferred
Specific Skills/Knowledge
-
Fluent German speaking and ideally fluent (professional working proficiency) in English
Significant experience of specification design for a range of building types
Experience of data centre or other complex projects
Sound knowledge & working application of key health and safety issues and legislation
