Commissioning managers from a mechanical background will enjoy leading Cx activities on Mechanical Infrastructure for a Hyperscale Data Centre project in The Netherlands. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop commissioning plans and schedules in coordination with project management, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all commissioning related documentation, including procedures, checklists, and reports.
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials necessary for commissioning activities.
  • Lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure the successful completion of commissioning activities.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that commissioning activities meet project specifications and guideline.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with commissioning activities, such as schedule delays and technical issues.
  • Oversee the execution of functional testing, performance testing and validation to ensure functionality of systems and equipment.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for client during the commissioning phase, providing regular updated on progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports summarizing results of testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and codes throughout the commissioning process.
  • Promote a safe culture of site and adhere to safety protocols and procedures during the commissioning activities.
  • Provide ongoing support to operations and maintenance teams as need following project handover.

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Degree or Trade qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
  • Commissioning certification would be desirable.
  • Excellent IT Skills in MS Office Suite and BIM 360 would be an advantage
  • 2 years¿ experience in a similar role at management level
  • Detailed knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of various testing procedures, methodologies, and tools used in the commissioning process.
  • Skills in troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving issues encountered during commissioning phase.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to the commissioning activities.
  • Ability to conduct safety risk assessments and implement safety measures during commissioning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed reports, manuals, and documentation for handover to operations team.
