We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical/ electrical equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, generators, and other related machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical/ electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning and prolong the lifespan of mechanical systems.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and disruptions to estate operations.
- Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and external service providers to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory management.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to mechanical engineering, ensuring the application of innovative solutions.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in the planning and execution of capital improvement projects, including equipment upgrades, energy efficiency initiatives, and system enhancements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other staff members as needed.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities
- Qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (such as ONC Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
- Suitable Multi-Skilled apprenticeship
- Proven experience in mechanical/electrical role, preferably in a facilities management or estate environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks and effectively manage multiple priorities.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts for emergency repairs or special projects.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various locations within the estate as needed.
