Production Manager

Production Manager now required to manage all aspects including quality of workmanship, timescales and health & safety. Your role includes fulfilling daily production plans, minimising waste, conducting stock checks and coaching staff to improve productivity and quality.
Candidates need to have:
* A demonstratable history of change management in a production/supply chain role.
* Ideally have a track record of re building teams through recruitment and upskilling
* Strong people Manager, approachable and easy to deal with but not afraid to tackle people issues head on, particularly poor performers.
* Have a proven track record in in lean production of products for the construction industry.
* While a formal qualification not necessarily needed 5S, six sigma and other lean principles need to be at the forefront of all decisions.
* Be a leader and not just a manager and be able to train, coach and mentor others.
* Ideally from an environment that is not repetitive production/assembly more bespoke high volume production.
* Preference would be given to someone within the MMC sector, Timber Frame or Light Steel Frame background.
* Have the ability to be able to set up and execute a production facility that is looking to double its output within the next 6 months.
