The Opportunity Mouldings are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an expanding team to help with the cost management of high quality prime residential building projects in a very privileged niche of the construction industry. This position will require a head office base, with regular visits to site. There may also be the flexibility to work from home on occasion. This position will work alongside the directors and will have the opportunity to develop the role and the team over the longer term. Day to Day Developing and managing Budget Cost Plans Compiling valuations on live projects Compiling measured Bills of Quantities to determine accurate Cost Plans Compiling subcontractor and supplier packages Valuation, reconciliation and review of subcontractor and supplier packages Liaising and negotiating with clients QS team to agree pricing and valuation levels What You Will Need RICS accredited Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying At least 5 years’ experience in traditional and high-quality construction and restoration Good knowledge of traditional methods of construction Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite Commercially astute Excellent communication skills, both spoken and through the written word Good knowledge of JCT contract law, structure and process Experience of contract management Procurement (subcontract) experience Stable career history Benefits Working within a privileged and niche area of the construction industry on high quality building projects for high profile clients on some of the UK’s finest buildings Competitive salary with benefits at £35k to £65k depending on the individual Employment packages are tailored around the individual.
