Senior Fire Engineer Job in South West London
Senior Fire Engineer job in West London for an AJ Top 5 Architectural practice, joining their Fire Safety team. The role will be working across a diverse range of projects both in the UK and abroad, offering a salary of £70,000 - £80,000 + 25 days holiday + Bonus + ongoing CPD + regular social events.
They are an AJ Top 5 Architectural Practice, renowned internationally with offices across the world including the US, Asia and Europe. You will be joining their existing Fire Safety team providing fire safety leadership and advice cross-functionally whilst delivering technical direction and management to other members of the team. You will be joining a new division with exciting prospects for further growth and development, supported by the brand of one of most recognised architectural practices in the world.
Role & Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders
- Review design information, for example, drawings, presentations, and specifications, and provide fire safety comment and advice
- Generate, issue, and distribute memorandums, technical notes, and presentations on
critical fire safety issues which may impact projects or the wider organisation
- Carry out research and report on fire safety implications of new technologies, materials, approaches and regulation
- Carry out qualitative and/or quantitative risk assessments and presenting to stakeholders
- Generate fire safety strategy reports for projects
- Generate proposals, as required, for design or research services
- Carry out fire safety and science research, as required, for multi-organisational projects.
- Supporting, reviewing and commenting on the output of the Fire Safety Team, as part of the
internal quality assurance procedure
- Organise and facilitate continual CPD events
- Manage your own workload, tasks, and time to hit relevant deadlines and meet stakeholder expectations
- Identify personal and team training needs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ideally 5+ years' experience in Fire Engineering
- Ideally CEng or working towards
- Right to work in the UK.
