Kier work as part of a framework for Western Power Distribution to ensure its customers have power in their homes, businesses, schools and hospitals. We are an essential member of the team mainly working on reactive and planned maintenance in Exeter, Bristol and down to Cornwall.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor your prime responsibilities will be to increase value, reduce cost and manage risk in a safe and ethical manner.

This will include ensuring cash flow is maximised, provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team, as well as preparing monthly cost/ value reports together with review of results and consideration of trends. This role will see you involved in physical measurements of works and managing sub-contractors, collating prices, comparing with tender, negotiation, order placement, agreement of account and payment.

What do we need from you?

To be successful in the role, you will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent along with experience within a similar role. You will also hold experience working with NEC suite of contracts along with sound commercial and business knowledge.
