Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local government authorities, architects, and stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive town planning strategies and provide professional advice and guidance on issues.
- Prepare and submit planning applications.
- Engage with local communities, businesses, and interest groups to gather feedback and address concerns, ensuring their active participation in the planning process.
- Assess the potential impact of proposed developments on heritage sites, green spaces, infrastructure, and transportation systems, advocating for responsible growth.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of planning policies, zoning regulations, and environmental factors to ensure compliance and sustainable development.
Requirements:
- Degree in Town Planning or a related field (MRTPI)
- Proven experience in town planning.
- Strong knowledge of planning policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Experience using planning software and GIS tools.
