Breedon are currently seeking a Weighbridge Operative based at Blinkbonny Quarry in the South East Region. As part of the Operations team, reporting to the Quarry Manager, the Weighbridge Operative will be responsible for effectively and efficiently carrying out all duties associated with the operation and manning of the weighbridge.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:-

*Weighing in and out of materials and recording all necessary information for invoicing

*Directing goods inwards to correct stockpile/location

*Controling the entry to site of all customers, lorries and visitors

*Recording time of despatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to site

*Ensuring the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstations

*Taking orders over the phone from Customers and processing them.

You will have a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work and will be strong and supportive team player who is organised and demonstrates initiative. You should have the ability to self-manage whilst having strong interpersonal skills, computer knowledge and be confident on the phone. You will have good attention to detail whilst responding well in a busy environment with a calm approach to the work and other individuals, either visiting or working on site.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of road haulage operations and experience in a similar role. An awareness of the quarrying industry would be advantageous.
