Barker Ross are supporting their client who are a national tool hire company that has over 800 vehicles within their branch network with drivers through their fast approaching busy period. The role will be to deliver various forms of tools that are hired out to the building industry, as well as to general members of the public.

You will be driving a flatbed van with the possibility of towing a trailer being involved therefore you will need to possess a licence with E on the end of your licence category.

As a driver you will be required to do the following;

  • Carry out the deliveries/collections
  • Display professional customer service at all times as you will be the face of the company
  • Carry out daily routine vehicle checks
  • Ensure the vehicle load is secure
  • Where required adhere to legal guidelines for the use of Digitial Tachocards
  • Have good local geographical knowledge

This is a very varied position where you will be covering the delivering, servicing and collection of temporary toilets along with delivering and collecting our tool hire equipment.

Due to the nature of the vehicles we use, it is essential that you have a C1 enabled driving license which allows you to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles, therefore you must also posess Digi Tacho card and a DCPC card.

The client supply their facilities to a wide range of customers therefore you will visit various locations to deliver and set up the equipment, this will mainly be outdoor work. Electronic and paper documentation is to be administered upon delivery and collection, therefore good written skills are required. In this role you will meet with customers on a daily basis therefore we are looking for excellent communication skills and the ability to represent our company to the highest standard.
