Role: Chargehand Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 Location: Donabate We have a fantastic opportunity for a Chargehand to join our Building Services team in Donabate. You will coordinate and support the daily operations of the Building Services team, ensuring the efficient preparation, installation, and removal of building service elements systems. The Chargehand oversees on-site and yard activities, organizes resources, supports team members, and ensures all projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards while maintaining cost-effectiveness. As a Chargehand you will: * Ensure the best practice, related to the refurbishment and rectification of product, is applied consistently and effectively across the business. * Support the development of new products and services to ensure they are introduced in a timely and efficient manner. * Monitor KPI performance on product costs to establish areas for evaluation and as a review for previous improvements. * Liaise with suppliers, head office departments and depots to ensure appropriate changes to specifications are implemented effectively. * Work with all departments as appropriate to ensure project conclusion is within agreed timescales and meeting required quality standards. * Foster and develop sound internal and external customer relationships through effective communication to provide excellent levels of service. * Co-ordinate and control Projects within the designated area of operation, working to planned costs and within agreed timescales to the mutual benefit of the company and the client. * Regularly review and analyze all costs to maximize profitability on relevant projects. * Ensure all contractually agreed conditions are met. Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has: * Practical operational experience ideally in construction related roles * Solid understanding of various software packages including MS Excel and PowerPoint, and CRMs * Ability to deliver efficiency improvement and optimisation, whilst maintaining a customer focus * Experience in leading, developing and motivating staff * Ability to produce workable solutions to a range of problems, * Ability to organise, negotiate, building effective networks and relationships both internally and externally * Full Irish driving licence About Portakabin At Portakabin, we design and deliver high-quality modular buildings for organisations of all sizes.
