Senior Quantity Surveyor - Oxford
I'm looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic construction consultancy in Oxford. This is a high-profile role, offering responsibility across a wide range of projects and the chance to work directly with key clients.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership of project costs from feasibility through to completion, including construction, materials, labour, plant, and professional fees
- Advise on procurement strategies, tender processes, and contract arrangements
- Manage post-contract activities, including valuations, progress payments, variations, and final account negotiations
- Act as the main client contact, building strong, long-term relationships
- Support and mentor junior team members and graduates
What They're Looking For
- Degree-qualified or equivalent; MRICS preferred but not essential
- Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor on diverse projects
- Strong commercial awareness, with excellent negotiation and organisational skills
- Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively across teams and clients
