About us:

Daniel Owen is an established recruitment consultancy specialising in the placement of quality, temporary and permanent workers to all roles in the Built Environment. Working with some of the UK's largest and most respected construction, maintenance and engineering companies.

Plumber Responsibilities:

  • Maintain mechanical, air, and water systems, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and report faults to the Helpdesk.
  • Perform statutory inspections and testing.
  • Ensure safe and compliant use of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Carry out multi-skilled tasks (e.g. electrical isolation, minor carpentry).
  • Promote and adhere to University policies on health & safety, environment, and equality.

Plumber Requirements:
  • City & Guilds or NVQ in mechanical services
  • Electrical qualification is desirable
  • Strong understanding of mechanical/plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience diagnosing faults in engineering systems.
  • Willingness to train in other trades and work towards multi-skilled competency.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and support out-of-hours rotas.
