Appointed Person (CPCS) - Tunnelling / TBM Projects We are seeking an experienced CPCS Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) with a strong background in tunnelling and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations to join our growing infrastructure team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the UK's most complex and technically challenging underground projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant lifting operations in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and oversee all lifting operations in accordance with LOLER and company standards.

Produce detailed lift plans, method statements, and risk assessments for tunnelling and TBM-related lifting activities.

Liaise with site management, engineers, crane supervisors, and lifting teams to ensure safe coordination of works.

Conduct on-site inspections and audits to maintain compliance and best practice.

Support TBM assembly, disassembly, and maintenance operations through safe lifting planning.

Provide expert technical advice regarding lifting equipment, slinging methods, and rigging arrangements underground.

Essential Requirements Valid CPCS Appointed Person (A61) certification.

Proven experience working in tunnelling environments and on TBM operations.

Strong understanding of lifting operations in confined and complex underground worksites.

Excellent knowledge of LOLER, BS7121, and industry best practices.

Strong communication and coordination skills, with a focus on safety and precision.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-pressure environment.
