Senior / Principal Hydraulic Modeller - Water Team
Location: London (preferred) | Birmingham | Bristol | Cambridge Permanent | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits
I'm working with a highly respected, multi-disciplinary consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Senior or Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join their expanding Water team.
The company has a strong national presence, delivering projects across flood risk management, drainage design, river restoration, and natural flood management. While ideally based in London, there's flexibility to work from their offices in Birmingham, Bristol, or Cambridge, with hybrid working options available.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role in delivering technically challenging and rewarding projects, including river engineering, restoration, major infrastructure, and large-scale development schemes. You'll work alongside experts from multiple disciplines, supporting projects from concept to completion.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hydraulic modelling and hydrology, with the ability to manage projects, mentor junior colleagues, and liaise confidently with clients and regulators. Experience using Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, ReFH2, WINFAP, and GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS) is important, along with a good understanding of UK flood risk policy and planning frameworks. Chartered status (or working towards it) is preferred.
In return, you'll join a business that genuinely values its people. Benefits include a 7% employer pension contribution, private healthcare, life assurance, agile working, professional development support, and a positive, collaborative culture with regular social and CPD events.
If you're a driven, technically skilled modeller looking for a role where you can make an impact and progress your career, get in touch to discuss in confidence.
