Structural Engineer
£40k-£60k
London EC1 (2 days in office)
Are you a structural engineer seeking the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week with truly flexible hours, but for a reputable set up with the proper support of a technically strong Chartered team?
This firm can offer the very real chance to do this.
You would need to be sufficiently experienced that you are comfortable working from home 3 days per week. You will be giving appropriate support and direction and the company attend the London office 2 days per week, all in together on the same days each week (days by mutual team agreement).
This is a small, flexible, modern firm, offering a different way of working.
The role will include hands on design for a wide range of buildings projects, site visits, reports, running projects (with support) and liaising with clients and architects. Projects generally range from £2-£10m in value - one currently is £40m - and are often architecturally focused/high end in a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, education and religious buildings. You would need mid sized project experience of new builds and refurbs, in all the main materials.
Drawing work is subbed out. If you are interested in the business development side of things going forwards this would also be advantageous.
Work life balance and social side are very important here and every staff members' opinion counts. Staff turnover is low and continued growth plans are in place.
An excellent benefits package is also offered, including 4 work socials per year including a trip away, generous holiday allowance with option to buy extra, bonus scheme, private healthcare, "work winning" bonus, paid overtime (not often required) and flexible hours.
Excellent links to the IStructE with Directors playing an active part. The Directors have a large firm working backgrounds and are used to mentoring people for Chartership.
