Job Description

As a Senior Packaging Development Engineer, you will lead the development and implementation of compliant, cost-effective packaging solutions for medical and wellness products manufactured by external partners worldwide. You will manage the full packaging lifecycle-design, materials, qualification, artwork, labeling, and change control-while ensuring alignment with regulatory, quality, and supply chain requirements.

You will collaborate closely with suppliers, graphics teams, quality, sourcing, and internal stakeholders to deliver packaging solutions that protect products, meet global standards, and support business continuity.

Shift: Night Shift, Weekends Off

Salary: Up to PHP 120,000 + Sign-on Bonus

    • The Qualifications We Seek

  • Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related Science
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Packaging Development or Packaging Engineering, ideally within medical devices or regulated manufacturing
  • Proven experience managing the full packaging lifecycle (design, materials, qualification, implementation)
  • Strong background in packaging change management, specification development, and artwork review
  • Working knowledge of ISTA, ASTM, ISO, and global packaging standards
  • Experience with MRP / ERP systems
  • Familiarity with global regulatory and sustainability initiatives (EU-MDR, EU-PPWR, UK-PPT) is advantageous
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a global, cross-functional environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Retail or consumer healthcare packaging experience is a plus
    • Your Daily Tasks

  • Lead global external manufacturing packaging initiatives, including supplier engagement, cost optimization, and change control
  • Design and develop primary, secondary, tertiary, and display-level packaging for medical and wellness products
  • Create and maintain packaging specifications, drawings, BOMs, and inspection procedures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory labeling, transit, and marking standards for medical devices and cosmetics
  • Coordinate packaging testing and qualification in line with ISTA, ASTM, and ISO requirements
  • Develop and improve packaging protocols to minimize product damage and supply risk
  • Support packaging artwork, labeling, and graphics execution with internal and external teams
  • Conduct value analysis to balance cost, quality, and product protection
  • Resolve technical discrepancies between internal stakeholders and manufacturers
  • Support inventory, kitting, and display assembly initiatives
  • Prepare technical reports, analyses, and packaging project documentation
    • Executes on Strategic Direction

  • Supports strategic initiatives across packaging, manufacturing, and supply chain
  • Proactively addresses risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities
  • Adapts to changing priorities while maintaining quality and compliance focus
