You will be joining a well-established land surveying company, who are involved in high profile construction projects. As a company, they are continuing to rapidly expand their business so this is an ideal time to join their team to develop your career. You can be based in Reading but with sites will be across the south east you will be working on multiple sites, both supervised and unsupervised and so you will need to able to travel independently.
If you are looking to advance your career as a Surveyor then this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Your prior experience of undertaking Land, Measured Building, Verified View, Right of Light Surveys and the ability and knowledge to use a 3D scanner on site will provide you with an excellent starting position for you to develop and grow your skills with this company.
Initially, you will be undertaking basic setting-out duties on smaller scale projects such as houses, piles and profiles on larger sites but working directly with the Survey Manager, you will hone and foster your knowledge. You will be able to prioritise your work and meet deadlines and examples of how you have achieved this in prior projects will be very useful to illustrate your capabilities.
For this position, your key responsibilities and duties will include:
*To undertake general Land, Measured Building, Verified View, Right of Light Surveys
*Work unattended on sensitive sites, on part time basis when required - covering for Senior members of the team who may be on leave, etc.
*Following the brief, you will be the client's survey representative, and work with client.
*You will be pro-active in suggestions of areas needing attention.
*Deliver the project to the brief on time and on budget
*Carry out surveys (Land , civils, buildings)
*Understand and produce basic contouring, volumes and ground modelling
If you have previously received security clearance for Government sites, this would be highly advantageous - but not essential - to your application.
The successful applicant will also need to have the following requirements:
*Competent in all aspects of Land and Measured Building Surveys
*Must be familiar with all aspects of construction engineering survey techniques
*Have experience of surveying software preferably N4ce. TerraFIRMA knowledge would be advantageous
*Have considerable experience of AutoCAD and knowledge of Leica survey equipment. Bentley Microstation knowledge would be advantageous
*Be familiar with Viva operating system / software
*Have a full, clean UK driving license and the ability to travel around UK, predominantly London and the South East
