Freelance
Are you an Estimator with a proven track record for being commercially astute and have a great eye for detail? We are keen to hear from you if this is yes, especially if you have a background in both rail and highways work.
This freelance assignment will see you working on a £5-10m rail tender so your background in this sector is vital as will your competency in technical knowledge and your impressive negotiating skills.
This is initially for a 6 month contract, but if the tender is successful this may lead to you becoming a valued member of the project team.
For this particular freelance position, your initial duties will include:
*Liaising with prospective clients to secure tenders
*Completion of PQQs
*Production of bills of quantity from drawings & specifications
*Securing material and specialist sub-contractor quotations
*Formulating tender price and completing submission
*Tender stage negotiation

You will also need to demonstrate that you possess the following requirements:
*You will have experience pricing rail/road tenders
*You will be used to reading and interpreting specifications and drawings
*You will be commercially astute and understand schedules and rates
*You will have excellent attention to detail and technical knowledge
*You will have the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
*You will have strong excel and maths skills
* You will definitely be a self-motivated and committed team player with a desire to achieve great things for yourself and the business.
*You will hold a relevant qualification alongside industry experience
