Our international client is looking to recruit an Electrical Control Engineer to their Technical Services Department.

Your main roles and responsibilities will be in the review and design of electrical control circuits for our wide range of combustion products.
Working within the Engineering Department, you will be involved in the review and design of electrical control circuits and PLC software for our wide range of high temperature heating applications incorporating process heaters, steam generators and thermal oxidisers

ACTIVITIES
Reporting to the Manufacturing & Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
*The review of existing electrical control systems produced from our Group central works and the design and preparation of dedicated control solutions from first concept.
*This role will also involve the design of updates for current heater control systems as part of our ongoing service commitments to our customers.
*Key tasks also include the checking and approval of electrical circuits and the transfer of these into working drawings for site installation.
*A thorough knowledge of control circuit design with PLC programming skills is seen as essential, although training in the design concepts and overall operation of our equipment will be provided.
*A knowledge of combustion control systems would be seen as a distinct advantage as will the ability to use AutoCAD LT to produce electrical schematics.
*Experience of PLC programming using Siemens Step 7 preferred.

THE CANDIDATE
*An experienced or senior engineer with suitable electrical engineering qualification, experience in circuit design, PLC programming and fault finding.
*Experienced programmer using Siemens TIA Portal preferred.
*Candidates with experience of programming Siemens S7 (1200) will be at a distinct advantage.

Electrical Control Engineer

This is a demanding and rewarding position which will allow the successful candidate to develop within a large industrial group. Remuneration is in the form of a basic salary commensurate with level of qualification and experience plus overtime.

Including overtime and bonus our client estinmates overall annual earnings to £36K - £40K + Pension & Bens
