BIM Coordinator

Tricon is one of the leading global providers of Food and Beverage design solutions. We have almost 45 employees split between the UK head office and satellite office in Dubai.

Tricon has an immediate need for a talented proactive BIM coordinator using ReVit as their modelling platform. This candidate will be responsible for Tricon's internal and external protocols, coordination and collaboration on working models. A background in BIM model creation and model management accompanied by a basic understanding of CAD systems and standards and the ability to translate data between CAD and BIM is essential.

The successful candidate will be working day-to-day under the guidance of a more senior designers, but will be responsible for developing the detail design through the integrated process.

Responsibilities.

  • Satisfy BEP for project as required by each project.
  • Attend BIM coordination meetings and provide model based information for review and analysis.
  • Knowledge of PAS1192-2 and other BIM Protocol / Legislation
  • Review to ensure that all drawings and documents are in correct format, comply with company and industry standards and specifications meet the quality, cost and productivity objectives of both the company and the customer
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of drafting principles and appropriate system software.
  • Participates in research and implementation of 3D modelling, workflow simulation and animation software to create and present world-class solutions to customers.
  • Draft/generate plans, elevations and detail drawings in AutoCAD and Revit from redlined drawings, sketches, existing drawings
  • Prepare construction drawings which include layouts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consistent with Tricon and industry CAD/BIM standards
  • Develop Revit model in accordance with the appropriate level of detail for each project
  • Manage project files relating to BIM/CAD documents within the project folder structure
  • Provide input and ideas for improvement of Tricons's CAD/BIM capabilities
  • Create electronic and hard copy documents for design staff review and submittals
  • Review and respond to clash detection reports issued.
  • Review BEP's and EIR's and produce a project summary to simplify specific requirements for project team.
  • Liaising with external BIM leader on each project and provide guidance.
  • Maintain and develop Tricon's internal Revit protocols.
  • Maintain and develop Tricon's internal Revit object libraries
  • Assisting other Tricon employees with queries as they arise.

Requirements / Qualifications.

  • 2+ years of experience using CAD/BIM software
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD 2004 or later.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings from schematics to construction drawings
  • Demonstrated space planning skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive/flexible attitude in an environment of change and shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
