An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Highways Scheme Engineer to join a highly regarded Top Tier civil contractor based in South London. This is your opportunity to further develop your career with one of the UK's largest civil construction companies.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience working on medium/large size Highways / Infrastructure civil projects (preferably in the UK). Prior experience working on Term Maintenance Contracts would be highly advantageous.
This will be a challenging career development role that will significantly help further your knowledge of project planning on a major civil Highways Contract and refine your leadership skills.
Duties of Highways Engineer will include:
*Ensuring the works are constructed according to the design and specifications
*Ensure Health and Safety compliance
*Produce and monitor weekly programs
*Interpreting and implementing of the construction process and procedure
*Monitoring and management of the nominated subcontractors
*Quality control in accordance to the specifications
*Compiling of Method Statements
*Produce accurate daily diaries and plant recons
*Permit clearances, RFIs, daily records, etc
*Manage Site Engineer and their duties including Setting out of the works and As built drawings
Requirements for Section Engineer:
*HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
*Extensive experience as Project Engineer/ Senior Engineer on Civil engineering projects
*Experience on highways or major roads
*CSCS
*SMSTS and First Aid
*A UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
