The opportunity Kier Scotland & North East is looking to recruit a Tenant Liaison Officer. The successful post-holder will be responsible for supporting the Assistant Contract Manager to ensure that the business provides a customer-focused service for all stakeholders involved within the contract.

Job description
  • To undertake surveys within local authority properties as part of a refurbishment project, whilst liaising with Kier management, sub-contractor and local authority tenants
  • The role includes visiting tenants within their homes to assess the household requirements and assist in the delivery of a smooth program of refurbishment works with the minimum amount of disruption
  • As the main contact for tenants you will be required to assist in the early detection and monitoring of tenant issues at the earliest opportunity whilst maintaining clear lines of reporting to the management team
  • To arrange appointments for all tenant participants within the program of work to allow information to be gathered in relation to any issues which may affect the works. These include: elderly/infirm, those with disabilities, various mother tongue languages spoken, respite requirements and pets
  • Discuss with residents the scale of works including type and duration and who will be undertaking the works
  • Provide point of contact throughout the process for all residents whilst highlighting any issues to the Kier Management Team
  • Provide literature/tenant packs with contact and project details to all residents within the project
  • Participate in community/residential events leading up to works
  • Provide administrative support for the project team by clear and concise reporting, filing and data entry on Kier systems
  • Organise and issue letters to tenants providing them with survey/appointments details and any relevant correspondence
  • Arrange specific care plans after consultation with Kier Management Team for all required residents
  • Be competent in the use of portable electronic devices for carrying out surveys
  • Conduct and report on customer satisfaction surveys after completion of works
  • To undertake any other duties that are reasonably requested by the Contracts Manager
  • Must undertake participation in the PVG scheme
  • Able to work outside of standard office hours if and when required
Key skills and qualifications
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of contract responsibilities and requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to empathise with the customer
  • Approachable and sympathetic to the differing personal
  • Good IT skills required and must be competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-motivated individual and flexible team player
