We have been instructed to recruit for a freelance CAD/BIM technician for one of a major civils projects in the South West of England in Reading. The sections of works you will be undertaking include major civil & structural engineering works so previous experience within these areas would be highly advantageous.

This is being managed by an established top tier contractor who spans multiple sectors including rail, power, water, building and natural resources. Not only are they working on this project but also have a number of projects which will also give you scope for progression and the possibility of seeking permanent employment if you so desire.

To be Successful in this role as the CAD/BIM technician, it will be desired that you have the experience in the following;

  • 3D Modelling
  • Autocad 3D & Navisworks experience with manipulation of 2D/3D drawing properties.
  • Must be able to interrogate 3D network models and produce schedules and construction drawings from these models
  • Clash detection
  • LSS experience is desired but not necessary
  • BIM competent
  • Proven track records as a CAD technician in major civil construction schemes.
