As a recruitment expert within SIPs and Timberframe manufacturing, ARV Solutions has been commissioned to source a committed, professional and team orientated Contracts Manager with a passion for sustainable construction. This manufacturing company is one of the UK's leading players in providing SIPS building solutions for the Self-build and Education markets.

Due to the significant benefits offered with a SIPS and Timber frame systems, this company has an exceptionally strong pipeline of works, and thus an organised Contracts Manager is sought to ensure these schemes are delivered, fulfilling both time and quality requirements.

This role is not for your "run of the mill" Contracts Manager; we need someone with offsite construction management experience, and able to juggle multiple projects at once. You will need to be able to use a diverse range of "soft" skills to manage a wide variety of clients and their expectations.

What is key in this role is your ability to communicate with all stakeholders, as well as building strong working relationships internally with the Managing Director, Operations Director and Projects Coordinator.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Multi-site / Contracts Manager to manage between number of sites at any one time, with each site visited at least once per week - Projects UK Wide - regular stays away from home are fully expensed
  • Managing Health & Safety activities including site inductions, RAMS and coordinating various lifting operations
  • Ensuring work plans are put together, briefing project teams, contractors and suppliers and communicating with the Operations Manager including supplying information to resolve any disputes or issues and to ensure works carried out to the specification of the client


IDEAL BACKGROUND:

  • You are likely to be an experienced Site Manager who is looking for greater level of responsibility across a number of sites, and you may be someone with SIPS / timber frame experience "on the tools" who is looking for your next step up
  • We are also open to speaking with well established COntracts Managers
  • You will have a strong working knowledge of construction which may include: precast concrete, Steel, Modular Buildings, SIPS or timber frame
  • You will be process driven and ideally have worked to ISO9001 standards
  • You must have an open mind to construction, doing things differently from more "traditional" construction companies
  • You will be truly passionate about using timber frame and SIPS as an alternative construction process

  • Strong and effective communicator at all levels both within the business and with clients
  • You will be a "doer", willing to go the extra mile.
  • You are a creative problem solver, able to provide long-lasting solutions
  • You will have a strong ethos of accountability and able to take ownership


QUALIFICATIONS (Essential and Desirable)

  • CSCS Tickets - essential
  • SMSTS - essential
  • Appointed Person for Lifting Operations - desirable
